At Ranchi College of Nursing and Professional Education, we uphold the highest standards of integrity, respect, and professionalism. Our Code of Conduct outlines the essential values and expectations that all students must adhere to, both in academic settings and clinical environments, to foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Students are expected to maintain academic integrity at all times. This includes being honest in all coursework and assessments, avoiding plagiarism and cheating, and ensuring that all submitted work is a true reflection of individual effort, unless collaborative work is expressly permitted. Academic honesty forms the foundation of a reputable and effective learning environment.

Respectful behavior is another cornerstone of our community. Students must treat all faculty members, staff, peers, and patients with dignity and empathy. Discriminatory or disrespectful behavior, whether verbal, physical, or digital, will not be tolerated. Everyone in our community deserves to feel safe and supported, and any actions that disrupt this environment are strictly prohibited.

In clinical settings, professionalism and ethical behavior are of the utmost importance. Students must uphold patient confidentiality, exhibit responsible behavior, and adhere to the dress and grooming standards set by the college and clinical institutions. These practices are vital for maintaining the trust and safety of patients and the healthcare community at large.

Attendance and punctuality are mandatory. Students must be present and prepared for all classes, lab sessions, and clinical rotations. Consistent attendance is crucial to a comprehensive educational experience, and any absences must be communicated in advance to the appropriate authorities, with students taking responsibility for catching up on missed material.

Proper use of college resources is required. Students must use the college’s facilities, equipment, and materials responsibly and only for academic purposes. Any damage to or misuse of property can lead to disciplinary action and may require the student to bear the cost of repairs or replacements.

Our campus is committed to being a ragging-free environment, and any form of bullying, harassment, or hazing is strictly forbidden. Violations will be met with severe consequences. Additionally, the use, possession, or distribution of drugs, alcohol, or any other prohibited substances is banned on campus and during any college-related activities. Students must also adhere to all campus safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for everyone.

With the increasing use of technology, students are expected to follow appropriate digital conduct guidelines. This includes using college-provided digital resources responsibly, refraining from using social media or other platforms to harass or intimidate, and not recording or distributing content without explicit permission.

The college also has a dedicated grievance redressal system to address any concerns or conflicts that may arise. Students are encouraged to use this system to resolve issues constructively and with respect, knowing that their voices will be heard and their concerns addressed fairly.

Disciplinary actions will be taken for any breaches of the Code of Conduct. Depending on the severity of the infraction, consequences may include warnings, suspension, or expulsion. By adhering to this Code, students help create a professional and supportive environment that reflects the core values of Ranchi College of Nursing and Professional Education, preparing them to be leaders and compassionate professionals in the healthcare field.
